Our SMSIntegra GSM/CDMA ver software is
copy-protected, (Kindly note our internet version is 100%
free and NOT a trail version too) something that most people
don't like. We don't like it either, nor have we ever met
a developer who does. It's an expensive hassle, when you get
right down to it, not only to build into applications, but
to track and distribute the passwords. However, as a relatively
small software company, we cannot afford the cost of software
piracy.
We'll leave it to the psychologists to figure out why otherwise
normal, intelligent, law-abiding people feel that it's okay
to steal software, just because it's so darn easy to do it.
The sad fact is that a very significant number of people do
it. There's no way we could continue to sell a product at
a low price, if people could easily pirate it. We want to
keep prices low. If everyone who uses our software buys it,
we'll make enough money to stay in business. That means providing
our customers with product support and new products.
Because we protect our software down to the individual PC,
there are several important issues, both for us and our customers.
Our copy-protection policy is designed to protect us from
theft and to protect our customers from extenuating circumstances.
Here's how it works...
Understanding the Password
When you register our software,
you do so by paying for a password which is matched to the
System ID on the registration form. The System ID number is
different for every PC/HDD in the world. It's important to
remember that the System ID is unique to a single PC. Each
password you purchase is designed to unlock the software on
one, and only one PC, and not just any PC but the one whose
System ID you submitted when you registered and made your
payment. A password for a particular PC will not work on any
other PC. And once the trial period has expired, even if you
uninstall the application and re-install it, it won't run
without the correct password. This protects us quite well
from piracy, maybe too well. There are some situations which
can put customers at risk..
What
If You Buy a New Computer?
In this case the system will
generate a new System ID, resulting in previously registered
products failing to run without obtaining a new password...
It ll be considered a new installation. and customer ll have
to pay for the upgrade cost.
Incase You are likely to upgrade the system in the near future
kindly let us know while you purchasing the software it self..
we can offer a tailormade solution.
Most people don't upgrade their computers until they have
had them longer than two years, Although it's not perfect,
we feel this policy addresses the vast majority of computer
users. To those in the minority, we sincerely apologize.
The first year there will be NO service charges for any
product support on phone or by mail. Any how on site training
and support available at a cost.
From the second year onwards we may
charge a small service fee to cover our operational cost for
any assistance to be provided during reinstallation /reformatting
of hard drive or in case of new operator to be trained.
Is There any annual maintenance
cost?
We offer all revisions For
the first year free of charge. From second year there will
be Annual Software Upgradation Cost of Rs.2000/-
Is There any Onsite
support / Installaion Support available?
Telephonic support,
email and online support are free!
Yes. At a cost it is available. The cost is fixed based on
the Location and distance from our main/ branch reseller office.
How to Get A New
Password
Just email your name, the
product name and System ID to aravind@smsintegra.com
and we'll send you the password, provided we can find that
System ID in our database for that product and you meet the
qualifications.
